The Family Dinner

" It wasn't a matter of fact "

We have family dinner annually on the 2nd day of CNY. So while everyone was getting ready to go out for dinner, I stayed in the room and watch my two younger cousin sisters play some sort of farm game on the PS. And my inquisitive baby cousin brother (first pic from left) was scrambling around the house, making himself muchly occupied. He changed into his more formal wear, and then I told him he look handsome - he said "thank you!" enthusiastically, but busily, and then was walked into the room to watch the PS game.

If only I had not rushed my math homework on the first few days of holiday. Complex number wasn't as complicated before the CNY break :(

A lot of my ex-classmates and close friends are going off to Australia. I was very tired on Saturday, but when I wake up on Sunday morning, I felt so energized that I decided to go visiting with my friends. We went to a few houses and we catched up a lot on the things we've missed out about friends and each other. In a few weeks time, meeting each other will probably only be something we can do annually.

Reunions

"kiss the boys & make them cry"

My sister and I had sushi for lunch on the day we had an appointment with one of our primary school friend. I actually felt a little guilty - to have made one of the universities I've applied through UCAS arrange an interview for me on that day, and then last minute decided to cancel it. So CK had dropped by for lunch, and we meet Ai-Ming up at Coffee Bean. We exchanged news on how people around us had been, or how studies are over at where we are... about the changes in our secondary school. We have also heard of a 6H class reunion; which we are not so sure yet ourselves. That chat lasted for 3 and a half hours.

While Se Yin and I walked around, we bumped into (not literally) two our classmate. They were doing last minute shopping for CNY clothes with a bunch of friends. Right on the day before, he have just told me he haven't bought any. And yes I was also looking for a new shirt! It's a damn occasion when most of my clothes will have to be put aside because black top made up about 80% of my wadrobe ;-D

College | Plush

"In all your glory, keep it real..."

I like the new semester's timetable. Most classes begin at 9am, but two days out of five, it starts at 8 and I can go home by 11am. How awesome. Well unless, of course, if any of my lecturers might come up with the idea of extra classes.

I received 2 RM50 vouchers, and 2 25% off per head from Redbox. The pathetic thing is I'm sure I can't use them all up by 29 February. And I still have another RM10 voucher, still waiting to be used. For the life of me, why do these vouchers always have to come right on the day (or the next day) I sang my day away there?

I've updated the Layouts archive (after half a year of abandoning it!) and my list of links.

Redbox

The Day Before Today

Lunch was at Jess' house. She bought me a plush cow, and it is awfully adorable. We went out to sing at Redbox; the receptionist gave 3 of us a very large room, with 'Sony Music' written on the door. All that came to my mind was: Jay Chou. We sang for 5 hours, with almost every song making me miss that few person :(

The person was actually so lazy (or perhaps hi-tech) he actually take orders using the phone. Oh, but that was a very funny phone conversation @.@ When the bill came, I was in the middle of a song. In the midst of darkness, I pulled out the cash to pay. Seconds after he went out, he came back in and gave me a $1 note. I stared at him, and almost thought it was the change. Until I realise I paid one buck instead of $50. How silly. They gave a $10 voucher, and the bill came along with a packet of groundnuts. I told the person I do not want it.

Redbox person: Oh, it's free. It's for you.
Me: No, thanks...
Redbox person: But it's for you. Take it...
Me: Really, it's ok. I don't eat...(translation: there will be plenty at home by CNY)
Redbox person: If you buy it outside, it'll cost $2.20..
He handed me the packet of groundnuts.

Me: Oh, I give it to you then?
Redbox person: But now it's free...
Me: Haha, ok. You can have it. *grins*

Redbox person laughed, then finally gave up.

An old friend of mine (whom I've known since 8 year old) came back from Australia, and surprised me with a call today. I am absolutely looking forward to meeting her! :)
