Friends/College
"It's the memories we shared"
We had a mini farewell for TM Sham, my classmate since primary 1-6 (and school/collegemate from 7 year old until last year omg imagine how long that had been...) yesterday, as she will leaving for Manipal in about 2 weeks. So it was, yet again KLCC. Of course, I didn't know so many of us were going, until I reached and suddenly, Ong came with Marlene. Next came Choo, and VIP came last - caught in a jam.
So 6 of us (including seyin and i) polluted Coffee Bean for more than 2 hours. We must've talked a little too loud, or perhaps we got so excited talking and the louder we got. The louder we laughed. Even the two ladies promoting World Card nearby eavesdrop (can't blame them! we were loud) and giggled along. Besides talking about the present, relationships, and our future, most of the conversation goes around remember ... ? OH YES. Ong was our food supplier for reccess. Hehe...
It was fun recollecting how childish we were, or how time flies - right from kindergarten, primary, BBGS, SBU, to college/form 6. We talked about how (silly, movie-like it must've sounded, but ) Sham who sat next to me in class last time, and I actually exchanged letters under desk with the afternoon session kid who shared the same desk. Se Yin did too :) And I was the silly pioneer. It all started when she left her pencil and I broke the lead, and I apologized for it... and it went on. I wouldn't have recalled it had they she not mention about it yesterday! But how funny. The person who exchanged letter with me became my classmate in upper secondary. While the one whom Sham wrote to was her Dentist's daughter, my classmate in Sec 2.
We talked about how fun days had been. How we still prefer the old premises to the new one. Nothing like a colonial building, right opposite the air-conditioner supplier - Star Hill, in the heart of the Golden Triangle can attract tourists, and what's more, capture our hearts.
You can't possible fall head over heels for the concrete, treeless, Star Hill-less, cracking walls, and palm tree-less so-called Smart School building, can you? That place (BB) had been our life. All it is now, is a carpark.
But the 2 things I would always remember about the new building:-
1) chatting on #Hitz.fm illegally, and then when the visitors from Brunei came in, I had to quickly alt+tab it away to some Biology site. A private message window popped up while the visitors were busy praising..I hope they didn't know it was a chat..
2) climbing on the roof to take photo, and my friend who couldn't climb back over on time had to lie that she dropped her purse there.
We had lunch at Sunway Pyramid. Emma, sis and I headed to MNG after that, while the others went to get the tickets for the movie they'll be watching. The rest came to MNG later, and Sara joined in. And we just plain try on clothes, and commented on them. I bought yet another trousers, which each person who sees it go, "Is this the same one as your brown color one..?" And I tried pathetically to point out the differences that no one would've bothered to notice.
I made ingenuity a new layout ;)
